Mark your calendar cuz we're heading back to Big Sur for our 3rd Annual BaseCamp — and this year it's completely free to attend.
This is a relaxed, family-friendly on the eastside of Big Sur (not the coast). Expect rolling green meadows, ancient oak trees, a creek with swimming holes,, hiking trails, and some of the best scenery California has to offer.
Highlights include:
Iron Chef Overland Edition Chili Cook-Off (Saturday at 7pm!)
Saturday Trail run to South Coast Ridge Road
Hiking to Wagon Cave, Indian Ranch and the surrounding mountains.
Swimming holes, mountain biking, cornhole, RC trucks, and more
The road to camp is fully paved, so any vehicle is welcome. Small trailers are fine; leave the big 5th wheels at home. Bring your own water and pack-out gear — this is a leave-no-trace event.
The OTG crew arrives Wednesday evening (April 15) to secure camp. The exact location will be posted in the forum thread Wednesday night — so keep an eye out.
Dogs welcome. Kids welcome. See you out there.

The 3rd Annual Big Sur BaseCamp announcement captures the spirit of adventure and community, inviting outdoor enthusiasts to explore rugged trails, connect with fellow travelers, and immerse themselves in nature. It’s not just about the destination but the shared experience of resilience and discovery. That sense of navigating unpredictable terrain feels much like Slope game, where every sharp turn demands focus and adaptability to keep moving forward with confidence.
The 3rd Annual Big Sur BaseCamp looks like an incredible event that perfectly combines adventure, learning, and community engagement. The thoughtful planning and exciting lineup of activities make it a truly memorable experience for attendees. Even details that support travel, such as a reliable flight tracker, help enhance the overall event experience. Wishing everyone a fantastic time filled with inspiration, connection, and unforgettable moments in beautiful Big Sur!
The Flight Tracker for the 3rd Annual Big Sur Base Camp event helps attendees monitor flight schedules and travel updates during the event dates, April 16–19. It provides real-time information on departures, arrivals, delays, gate changes, and flight status, helping travelers plan their journeys efficiently. Whether flying to or from the event, participants can stay informed and reduce travel uncertainty with accurate, up-to-date flight tracking information.
A Flight Tracker is a digital tool or application that provides real-time information about aircraft movements worldwide. It allows users to monitor flight status, including departure and arrival times, current location, altitude, speed, route, and potential delays. Flight trackers collect data from aviation systems such as radar networks, satellites, and aircraft transponders to display accurate and up-to-date flight information on interactive maps. These tools are widely used by travelers, airlines, airport staff, and aviation enthusiasts to stay informed about flight operations. Flight trackers help passengers plan airport arrivals, track loved ones’ journeys, and receive updates on schedule changes. By offering live and detailed flight data, they enhance travel convenience, improve transparency, and support better decision-making for anyone involved in air transportation.
