You'll have the opportunity to zoom across North America's largest playa, experience the desert blooms of northern Nevada, soak in hot springs, follow the wagontracks of the Lassen and Applegate emigrant trails, and drive thru rugged canyons.

Black Rock Desert Conservation Area

The Black Rock Desert and High Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is a vast, rugged expanse where prehistoric lakebeds, towering volcanic plateaus, and deep-cut canyons tell the story of an ancient and ever-changing landscape. This remote region, once traversed by emigrants on the Applegate Trail, remains a place of solitude and raw beauty, where wild mustangs roam and the silence of the desert stretches for miles in every direction.
