Big Sur BaseCamp -- April 25-28

Join the OTG Crew for our first BaseCamp event of 2024.  This family friendly event will be taking place on the eastside of Big Sur (not the coast).  This is a great opportunity for folks who'd like to meet their fellow OTG members!

Location

We'll be setting up camp at among the beautiful oak studden hills on the eastside of Big Sur.  There are no facilities on site, so you'll need to bring your water, and abilty to pack out all waste (including human solid waste).  Camp is approximately 45 minutes from King City in Central Monterey County.  The location will be shared with ticket holders as the date nears.  While there are some short dirt roads in and around camp, the opportunities to explore dirt trails is limited.  

Vehicle Requirements

The entire drive is paved except the last couple hundred yards to camp.   4x4s, motos, AWD Crossovers, and Sprinters and oversized rigs should easily be able to make it to camp.  

BaseCamp Activities

We'll organize some short hikes to explore the surrounding area.  There are opportunites for swimming (nearby), hikes, rock scrambling and rock climbing, mountain biking and/or gravel grinding.  Feel free to bring fun toys and games like cornhole, frisbees, RC trucks and more!  

Children & Pets

Families are encouraged to join!  Well behaved pets may attend as well.  If you have an aggressive and/or unruly, we may ask you to secure your dog at your camp.  

Raffle & Prizes

We'll be giving away some awesome prizes on Saturday evening.   Anyone who purchased a ticket will be entered into the raffle.  

Iron Chef Overland Edition

In addition to Saturday's raffle, we'll be holding our first ever Iron Chef Overland Edition, the taco challenge.  More details to come, but the winner will walk away with a great prize.
