Basecamp: The Shasta Shakedown

Join Lost Coast Expeditions for a night wilderness experience in the Shasta-Trinity.  We'll camp along the banks of the east fork Trinity River for 3 nights.  During the day, we'll have multiple options to explore the surrounding mountains by vehicle or on foot, or you can hang out at the river all day if that's your thing!  

Day trips will include:

- Explore jeep trails around Tamarack Lake

- Explore forest roads (suitable for AWD and Sprinters)

- Do the Mt Shasta Loop 

- Visit/swim at McCloud Falls

- Hike Castle Crags SP

- Hike Deadfall Meadows and Lake (below Mt Eddy)

- And a lot more!  

You Provide

Your own vehicle, fuel, food, water, cooking equipment, sleeping setup and equipment, sturdy shoes for the outdoors, and a flashlight.  There are no facilities on site, you must come prepared to pack out all human waste (we are camping next to a river, so no burying waste).  Expect daytime highs in the 80s-90s, and lows in the 40s-50s.

Minimum vehicle requirements:  4x4s, AWD crossovers, and Adventure Vans all welcome.  We'll have options suitable for all rigs.
